Here's how to connect to Apple CarPlay in your new Acura. First, you're gonna wanna open your phone up, go to your settings, and then go to Bluetooth. Once we're in Bluetooth, we're then gonna go over to the screen. We're at the home screen here. Go to Apple CarPlay, connect to phone, connect new device, and we're going to look for Acura MDX on our phone. Click on Acura MDX, then it's going to ask to pair, and then we're going to allow and sync our contacts. Hit okay on the screen and also connect on your phone. And if you want to, you can also set this as a priority device if you have multiple devices connected at the same time. We'll confirm. And just like that, you're connected to Apple CarPlay.

Hey, it's Prince down here at Northeast Acura in Latham, and I'm going to show you today how to use your remote start on the key fob on some of your new Acuras. Now this is trim specific, so we got to remember that. Here, let me show you. So in order to activate your remote start on your key fob, you're going to lock the doors, one, two, then you're going to press this engine hold button right here for about ten seconds. And your MDX starts.

Hey, it's Prince down here at Northeast Acura. And today, I'm gonna show you how to disengage and engage your walk away auto lock feature. So you will start from here on the home screen. When you swipe to the left, you'll go to vehicle settings, go to vehicle settings. At the vehicle settings, you're gonna go to door setup. At the door setup, as you can see, we've got water walk away auto lock. You press this, it is now engaged. So I've got the key in my hand, throw it in my pocket, and as you can see, the vehicle locks itself.

Hi, everyone. It's Ashlyn with Northeast Acura. And today, I'm gonna be going through how to set some of your radio presets in your vehicle. So you can presets on just about any source of music for radio, whether it be SiriusXM, FM radio, and AM radio. So first, I'm gonna do SiriusXM, which is right here. So my biggest recommendation with doing this first is kinda get familiar with your setup because the setup of them can change depending upon which source music you're listening to. Right now we're on SiriusXM, so first what I'm gonna do is I'm going to go to the channel that I wanna set. So you can flip through your channels, you can change the channel by doing this with these two buttons. If you wanna change by category or genre, you can use these two little arrows right here, and it'll switch, make a little bit of a bigger jump. If you want to go to your whole list of channels, you click in this top right corner here, and you can sift through this list here if you want to search by genre or category, or if you want to go to the full list of channels, you go right here. And you can swipe through this list here. So say I wanted to add one of these channels to my favorites list. What I'd do is, of course, find a good channel first, which I gotta do. We'll go nineties. So say I wanna add the nineties to my favorites list. First, I'm gonna do is be on the channel. So have it playing. All of your favorites are gonna pop up down at the bottom here. So if I wanted to replace one of these channels, what I do is, since Marty on the channel, if I wanna replace kits one, I would press and hold until that pops up at the top. That's how it goes into edit mode is by pressing and holding. Now I wanna replace with channel nine, and you're all set there. So just to show you that one more time, we'll do it with another channel. If I wanted to replace this channel here with the current channel, I'd again press and hold. Replace the channel ten. Just put them on, and it will replace it. Another thing you can do is you can if you were done replacing, you just want to add favorites, you can just continue from there. If you're already on the channel, can do it that way. I find it easiest. Add favorite, current channel. And then you can just keep going. Once you've run out of spots right here, if you just do a little swipe across the bottom of the touch pad, just like this, it will go to another set and you can just keep on adding and go from there. Setup is very similar for FM radio. Same format kind of, if you're already on the channel. Same thing as we just did. You can tune by using this here if you want to fine tune to a specific channel. If you want to kind of just skip to the next available channel, you can use these two arrows right here. You also can go up here to the top right corner, station list, and it'll bring up all the available channels in giant list. AM radio radio is the same setup. Hi, everyone. It's Ashlyn with Northeast Acura. And today, I'm going to be showing you a couple of different ways that you can use your voice commands in your car. So in all of our vehicles, it offers two different ways to use voice commands. You can either use Acura's voice commands or you if you have an iPhone, it would be Siri. So you can even bring up Siri through your car. The first one I'm gonna show you is your Acura voice commands. So from your steering wheel, on the left side of your steering wheel, you're gonna see this little button right here. To engage your Acura voice commands, you're gonna give it a quick push, and they'll pop up. So a couple different things that you can set through voice command. Of course, you can make your calls through voice command. But a couple cool tricks and tips that I like to show a lot of my customers is you can set specific radio stations to your voice command, whether it be FM radio, SiriusXM, or AM radio. So this is one of my my favorite tips to show people to access music quickly. So you just give it a quick click. Play one zero seven point seven FM radio. Playing one hundred seven point seven FM. Another cool, feature that you can use your Acura voice commands to do is to set specific navigation and directions. So that would be something as simple as hitting your button if you have your your home address set up as a favorite, you can give that button a push, say set navigation for home, and it will preload your directions to your home address. You can also help to put in different destinations. Your other version of voice commands that you can use is if you like using Siri through your phone, you can bring up Siri right through your car. So instead of a quick click like we do for the Accur Lady to bring up Siri, we're gonna press and and hold this button until you're you hear your Siri prompt you. Things that I like to use Siri for, if you like to make calls that way, if your Siri knows your voice a little bit better, you can also set navigation through your Apple maps that way. Alright, guys. I'm gonna show you how to integrate Alexa with your Acura MDX. So the first thing you wanna do is get on the TrueTouch trackpad, swipe through until you find the Alexa app. Now once you find the Alexa app, it's going to greet you with the screen. You just select get started. After selecting get started, of course, you are going to read through the disclaimer and select agree. Now once you've done that, you have two options. You can either scan the QR code, is on the right side of the screen, or you can visit amazon dot com forward slash code and enter the code which is on the left side of the screen. I'm gonna go ahead and just scan the code. Now once the code is scanned, it's gonna bring you to your Amazon account sign in page. I'll just go ahead and sign in. I'll link the device. It shows the code that's on the screen. Alright. Now once all is said and done, you should see device successfully linked on your phone. And on the screen, you'll see, welcome to Amazon Alexa. It'll have your name on there, and then you can continue. Alright. So there's three ways you can access Alexa. That's the first way, by just saying Alexa. Second is by pressing the voice activation button on the steering wheel. And the third way is by getting to the app on the home screen. If you're familiar with Alexa, there's a bunch of things that you know that you can probably do. You can add to your shopping list. You can check out the weather. You can check out scores. You can even have Alexa navigate for you.

Hey. It's Prince down here at Northeast Acura. And today, I'm gonna show you how to use your ambient lighting features in your brand new Acura. Check it out. So we'll start here on the home screen. Swipe once to the left. I'm gonna select ambient lighting. Now the ambient lighting is synced to your dynamic mode. So as you change your gears and got dynamic mode here from normal comfort, snow, even all the way down here to sport, your ambient lighting will change depending on which dynamic mode you're in. You also have the option to change it to any of Acura's twenty seven preset racetrack colors inspired by famous racetracks all around the world. And you can also change your ambient lighting brightness and have it synced to your panel brightness. So that way as the brightness goes up on your panel, it'll also go up on your ambient lighting.

Hi, everyone. It's Ashleigh with Northeast Acura. And today I'm going to be showing you how to remove the center seat in the back seat of your Acura MDX. So this is one of my favorite features in the new twenty two Acura MDX. This feature is gonna come in every single trim level, including the base trim. You there's three different ways that you can have the seat in the car, depending on what kind of space you need and how many how much seating you need. So, this center seat right here, you can have it up just the way it is. If you need this third seat and you can also fold it down, kind of like if you want a center console style captain's chair, you have your cup holders, tray for all of your stuff. Now, one of my favorite things is if you want a true captain's chair with a walk through, it's very simple to remove this whole seat from the car. So first, you're gonna fold it down just like I did using this pulley right here. Now we're gonna go to the front of the seat. And on the front of the seat, you'll see this little pulley right here. So what you're gonna do is you're gonna pull that out and lift up from the back of the seat, tip it forward, and you'll see a nice little handle right here you can grab onto. And you'll just lift, and you can remove the whole seat from the car. Installation's pretty easy. You're kinda just gonna do the whole process we just did in reverse. So you're gonna come back in. Now you'll see two little hooks on the front of the part front part of the seat. You just wanna make sure those hooks go right into the floor where those bars are. Once you're secured there, you just drop it back down, and you'll hear it click in. Now there is an indicator light on the front of the seat right here. You'll know it's hooked in because it will be black. When it's unhooked, it'll be red so you know that it's secured or not. And then a fold back up, just like that. The seat isn't too heavy, so it is pretty easy to maneuver. And it's really nice that they give you that handle on the back for extra grip. Brake hold. It's a system that comes with these luxury vehicles that you're simply gonna love. Today, we're gonna show you how to use it. Located in your center console, you're gonna have a brake hold button that makes it so that your vehicle can be stationary without having to actually press the brake pedal. The brake hold system does exactly as you would imagine it to hold your brakes without you having to press the pedal whatsoever. This comes as a bonus to anybody who's driving a manual transmission vehicle as to where you don't have to hit the brake nor do you have to rip up on the e brake either. Breakhold comes as a standard in every single Acura that we have on the lot. So come in today to test drive yours.

Today, wanna go over one of our more frequently asked questions, and that's regarding how exactly you open the gas cap on the vehicle as well as what type of fuel our Accuras do require. So to start, our vehicles do not feature any type of button or latch that you need to engage to open your gas cap. They are simply just a push mechanism. As long as the vehicle is unlocked, you simply push it to open as well as push it to close. Now you will notice here on the inside of the door cap, there is a label that tells you what is the recommended fuel as well as the minimum requirement. All of our vehicles are recommended to use premium fuel. However, they will all run just fine on regular octane gas. That is the eighty seven gas that you can get at your local gas station.
